Glycyrrhiza glabra, commonly known as licorice, has a rich history in herbal medicine. Traditional usage shows its ability to protect the mucous membranes and lining of our digestive tract by increasing production of a protein called mucin. Mucins help to decrease adverse effects of high stomach acid and various other harmful substances. Used in Herbal Medicine to help relieve inflammatory conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, such as gastritis in adults.

Directions
(ages 10 and older): Take 2-3 capsules, 1-3 times per day after meals or as directed by a healthcare provider. Take 2 hours before or 4 hours after taking other medications. Consult a healthcare provider for use beyond 4-6 weeks.
